If you buy an Allroad, you're gonna have a bad time.
A good friend of mine bought one, about the same amount of miles but with the auto transmission, that thing has been in the garage almost non-stop since he bought it. The air suspension is a disaster in those cars from what I know. When they're on the road, they're great.

It's cool it is a nice find but I know better than to open the bank account on such finicky hardware.

What's it to me?
2.7T and air suspension?
It's the car of my nightmares.

My friends particular Allroad was a total CP. Terrible car so far. Every Allroad that I have ever seen, be it only five or six, has worn out air suspension and is sitting on the ground.

Why not spend half the money and buy a b5.5 Passat w8???

Kinja is facking up. Sorry if you get two replies!
Anyways, my friend's Allroad is a total CP. It has been a terrible car so far. Every Allroad that I've seen, be it only five or six, has worn out air suspension and is sitting on the ground.

They become grounded to the ground is what you're saying.

Indeed a unicorn but perhaps a troublesome unicorn. I'm not too sure how confident I would be with that air suspension. I don't have any personal experience with Audi in regards to reliability but I can't help but fall victim to the horror stories I've heard.
I think just browsing on eBaymotors it seems pretty appealing but I don't think I would pull the trigger. Hat tip to the original owner for optioning the manual transmission
On a related note, I recently saw the new "All Road" on the highway a few days ago and I think it looks pretty nice. It seems to strike a good balance between wagon and crossover in terms of ride height. Audi certainly knows how to make a good looking wagon these days.

Welcome to oppo, October is nightmare month.

Precisely. Once the suspension is "shot" they become better, actually. Not quite as grounded to the ground as a Camry though!

So it's the manual that makes this a unicorn correct?

If those turbos are the originals they'll need replacing soon.
I had to replace mine at 96k.

Yup, unless they're way more common than I thought.

No, would guess manual would be, since just like the, person looking for the b7 the other day out of 20, I found a manual. Only one. But I see these all over up here, I like the 2.7tt. So these interest me. But now all the suspension talk makes me wonder, with all the ones I see how often they are in the shop never seen one with failed suspension, makes me think Lincoln and air suspension, those are always dragging ass and at 500 corner I know why.

That's why companies make coil over kits.
